Skarabe is a professional Arabic/Swedish artistic group based in Malmö. It is a non-profit association without religious, gender, lingual, traditional or political affiliation that researches and debates in an open and modern way. Skarabe’s members have many different skills gained from the Theatre, Film and Dance.
Our goal is to create a modern, cultural as well as artistic mix and cross cultural bridges, by urging discussion on contemporary subjects and ideas that affect us all, for instance, humanity and existence.
Another of our major goals focuses on tracing a common cultural line between the Arab world and the West and to inspire and arouse interest through a multicultural artistic experience.
The dream we are fulfilling is cultural integration, and the basis behind this reality is our collaboration with a group of poets, authors, directors and musicians.
